This morning, Dr. Patrick Zimmerman, the chief technology officer of C-Lock Technology, and I had the opportunity to testify before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee at a field hearing in San Jose, California. Representatives from a range of clean energy technology companies provided information about the significant job creation potential that will be possible through reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Senator Barbara Boxer, chairwoman of the committee, is focused on protecting the environment while also protecting and enhancing the economy. We were joined on the panel by representatives from the solar energy and electric car industries. While these technologies are promising, we centered our testimony on solutions provided today by Evergreen and C-Lock. Senator Boxer asked thoughtful questions about the role of agriculture-based carbon credits in the cap and trade market and how C-Lock can help measure and verify those credits.

Regarding Evergreen Energy and K-Fuel®, she focused on one of our key issues: increasing the efficiency of low-rank coals by 25% so that we use less coal to generate the same amount of energy output, while also providing reductions in carbon dioxide and other emissions.

This was an exciting opportunity for me to continue sharing the NOW solution to coal-related energy and environmental issues provided by K-Fuel® refined coal.
