Today we announced an expansion of our ongoing technical and engineering relationship with Bechtel Power Corporation, one of the world’s leading power plant designers and builders.

Bechtel’s global manager of business development for fossil facilities, Jeff Brightman, noted that Bechtel is working to offer its customers new alternatives for cleaner, more efficient power generating units. “Technologies such as K-Fuel®,” he said, “hold great promise, and we look forward to building Evergreen’s new plants.”

Bechtel has been with us since last year, providing construction and project management for our Ft. Union, Wyoming plant under a technical services agreement.

Our other agreement with Bechtel, what we refer to as our “umbrella agreement,” has been updated and amended to better define the engineering, procurement and construction services they will provide us as we build K-Fuel® plants around the world. Bechtel will manage both the technical development and implementation of our new facilities, and we have committed to provide them with $1 billion in construction contracts through 2013 for work that they may perform for Evergreen.

The expanded support and continued interest by Bechtel in our technology are important milestones as we work to optimize our Gillette, Wyoming facility and corral the resources for construction of additional K-Fuel® or K-DirectSM plants.
